Current Events and the legal implications in layman's terms

Jules Mermelstein has been a licensed PA lawyer

since 1980. He has argued cases in trial and appellate state courts and is admitted to these federal courts: EDPA, 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court. In addition to his mostly criminal defense practice he served as a volunteer attorney for the ACLU, winning a case in the PA Supreme Court.

He is a member of the PA Bar Association's Law-Related Education Committee and the Montgomery Bar Association's Government Relations Committee. He has also written a legal thriller, Justice, Justice Shall You Pursue.

Since 2022, he has been teaching classes to lay adults  about the Constitution and Current Events in libraries and community centers. This newsletter is an outgrowth of those highly in-demand courses.
